Representatives of various trade unions gathered in front of the Süreyya Opera House in Kadıköy, Istanbul, today (March 11) at 18.30 to demand the immediate release of Limter-İş Chairman Kanber Saygılı, who was tortured and detained during a police raid on his house on the morning of March 9. The police dragged him into a separate room in his home and beat him there until they broke his leg.
