Healthcare workers saying, “We don’t want to die while working,” came together in a protest with the call of SES (Healthcare Workers’ Union) after the carbon monoxide poisoning in Zonguldak Atatürk State Hospital.
Upon the call of the SES Union’s Zonguldak Branch, health workers gathered in front of the Atatürk State Hospital’s Chief Physician’s Office at 12.45 today (February 28) and protested by unfurling a banner reading, “We don’t want to die while working.”
On February 16, SES Zonguldak announced that it would follow up on the incident in which health workers were affected by a carbon monoxide gas leak at Atatürk State Hospital. A call to action was announced on the matter.
As a result of carbon monoxide poisoning at Zonguldak Atatürk State Hospital, SES Co-Chair M. Sıddık Akın, Secretary General Ferit Ceylan, and General Education and Organization Secretary Eylem Kaya Eroğlu, visited the health workers at the hospital. SES Headquarters executives attended the press conference after meeting with the hospital administration.
