The Foundation of Research for Science, Education and Esthetics Cultural Art Center (BEKAV) planned a screening of the Intifada film in front of the Israeli Consulate to protest the Israeli attack against Lebanon and Palestine. The police intervened and stopped the showing of the film.
The members of the BEKSAV protested cops prevention and gave a press release in front of the Israeli Consulate. In this release, they demanded a stop to the Israel’s aggression. The editor in chief of the magazine “Art and Living” (Sanat ve Hayat) Muharrem Demircioğlu criticized the attitude of the Turkish government and demanded an immediate nullification of the agreements between the US-Israel and Turkey.
Mr. Demircioğlu asked not keep silent in the face of the attacks in the Middle East and said they would continue their support and solidarity with the people of Palestine and Lebanon.
