Police conduct a raid on the house of Sendika.Org Editor Çağlar Özbilgin because the journalist criticized the Afrin war and demanded peace

Police in Ankara staged a raid on the house of Sendika.Org Editor Çağlar Özbilgin earlier this morning, although the journalist was not detained because he was not home at the time.

Officers subsequently conducted a search of the home under the supervision of Özbilgin’s family.

According to information given by lawyers, Özbilgin has been charged with membership in an “illegal organization” due to his social media comments that have criticized Turkey’s war in Afrin and expressed demands for peace.
