Raze the statues, force people to drink at home, exterminate the rivers and build HPP’s, demolish the cinema, disturb Hasan in Batman (talking about destruction of the historical site of Hasankeyf), cut down trees and build military quarters, leave no space unoccupied. Just like Tamerlane leading the masses of Mongols. His princes with him. Ordering everyone around. His willpower is above the congress, constitution, jurisdiction and even god. The basis of the law is neither Koran nor the constitution. The basis of the law is his whims, his twists, his fury, his directions, his imperial line of supremacy. Sacrifices should be made for him, the most precious limbs must be cooked for him. He is the ablest of all to anything. He is now a demiurgos. Meaning the sole power which rules the universe and shapes it, as said by Platon. He who says “possession is only for god” but spoils this posession and commodifies it is now a power above the god. If a mosque is to be build, it should be built in his name. His super-ego has made him the executioner of the people.
So they claim to build a military quarters. Weren’t you the one who said that mosque was your very own military quarters? 75 thousand military quarters not enough for you? Didn’t you write poems for that sake and end up in prison for that? Your intention is clear, you’ll cut down the tree if you can’t sell it’s shade. Just like Aristotle quoted centuries ago: “Tyranny is ruled according to the interests of the tyrant.” But this time the people is against you. You treat the trees like you treat the children in Adana. The violation of nature had to have a price. Democratic heterocracy against autocracy. For your crimes against humanity, the least of punishment is Gezi. I prepared a clause for you from Nasreddin Hodja:
The sultan asked Nasreddin Hodja one day:
-Hodja, tell me, am I going to the heaven or hell when I die?
Hodja, without fear from the sultan said:
-You’re going to the hell, my sultan.
The sultan’s beard shook with anger. Seeing that, Hodja continued:
-Keep your anger, my sultan. I was going to tell you that you’d go to heaven of course. But the masses of innocents killed by your executioners have already swarmed there. I thought you’d not fit in there so that’s why I told you that you’d go to hell.
You’re looking after number one. Your insolence is the reason for 5 deaths. Your grasp for supremacy is unjust against the people. You want the mountain to kneel before you. You’re trying to break the resistance with your sterilised harem keeper, monopolised media. This is also in vain, the social media already defeated your anti-social media. You’re so barbaric that you would build luxury residence on top of minaret balconies and malls on top of the bulges of the graves. These things you do are evoking memories of once upon a time in Germany. This sentence of Horkheimer who lived to see those days is summarising the current situation in this May-June Revolution:
“In Fascist regime everyone is talking about killing Hitler in their dreams but then they join up with the marches of Fascist’s. If the people decided not to march anymore, they would see that their dreams have came true.”
Those dreams are coming true in the Chappul-dwellings now.
(1) Hasankeyf is an ancient city and an archeological site in Batman. This city and it’s cultural treasure are at risk of being flooded with the completion of the Ilisu Dam.
(2) The historical artillery quarters in Taksim Square was built in 1803-1806 by the architect Kirkor Balyan with the order from Sultan 3. Selim who was the sultan of Ottoman Empire in that time. It was razed in 1940 under the government of the Republic of Turkey ruled by Ismet Inonu. It’s political meaning for the current prime minister of Turkey is that it was the center of the revolt aiming to establish a government based on religion (sharia) in 1909. The revolt was against the government ruled by the Committee of Union and Progress (Ittihat ve Terakki Cemiyeti). The revolt also known as the “Incident of 31 March” was executed by the soldiers residing in Taksim Artillery Quarters. It was quelled by the Army of Action, put together from the 3rd Army in Thessalonica. After the revolt was quelled, the Committee of Union and Progress came to power in the Ottoman rulership again.
