US Foreign Secretary Condoleezza Rice stopped at Ankara today prior to her participation in a NATO meeting in Bulgaria. She also stopped at Athens on her way. Rice is holding meetings with state officials on the plans to attack Iran. She will be meeting with the President Ahmet Necdet Sezer, the Prime Minister Tayyip Erdoğan and the Foreign Secretary Abdullah Gül. The US ambassador Ross Wilson has indicated in his press release that the visit seeks cooperation for the possible attack against Iran. It is being speculated that Rice will try to persuade Turkey to participate in a collation to pressure Iran.
Other issues on the table for discussion are the ISAF command center being used for Afghan occupation, Palestine and Hamas and the military actions of Turkey against the PKK Kurds at the Iraq border.
Anti War Protesters Meet Rice
Anti War protestors were prepared to protest the visit of US Foreign Secretary Rice who is one of the people responsible for the aggression against Iraq.

He said, Rice was in Turkey with her new plans of war, and she demanded more blood after the destruction the US has caused in Iraq. He added, “Our people, who have thrown the sailors of the US 6th fleet, who have burned the US Ambassador Commer’s car, who have torn the demand to participate in Iraq war from the US will also reject new demands of blood and tears from Rice.”
Rice is being protested everywhere
In another event, a banner reading, “Murderer Rice, Get Out!” was hung at the most busiest overpass in downtown Ankara.
In Istanbul, protesters occupied the McDonald’s restaurant in Istanbul’s busiest downtown location.
