When the workers started to quit the yellow union, the union representatives came to the hospital not to talk to the workers but to talk to the hospital management. The workers expected to direct the negotiations while the Öz Sağlık-İş union bureaucrats held secret talks and signed a very disappointing contract without informing the health care workers.
The yellow union Öz Sağlık-İş started seeing members resign after signing a sweetheart contract with the hospital behind workers’ back.

The workers quitting the sell-out yellow union are joining the Dev-Sağlık-İş, a progressive health care union belonging to DISK, the Confederation of Progressive Labor Unions of Turkey.
To prevent more member loss, the yellow union organized a meeting with the workers. However, the union canceled that meeting at the last minute. No other meeting is scheduled as the sell-out bureaucrats refuse to see the members.
The workers elected a group among themselves and forced the group to enter the union meeting with management for negotiations, bypassing the union.
