Şükrü is a 16-year-old worker who used to work at a fish market. He quit working at the market because he found another job. However, the market owner owed him 200 TL ($26.00).
The market owner told Şükrü to come by to collect his paycheck the store owed him on a Sunday. The owner asked Şükrü to work the full day when he was at the store, which the worker agreed to do.
At the end of the day, Şükrü asked for his pay. The owners of the market then locked the worker inside the store and beat and tortured him till it was nearly the morning.
