The non-investigation of the so-called “suicide” and the silence of the representative and the officials add to the already dark events surrounding the death of Nadira Kadirova, the health care worker hired to take care of Şirin Ünal’s sick wife
Turkish government has imposed all news coverage of a very suspicious “suicide” of an attractive Uzbek health care women at the home of a suspicious AKP (Ruling party of the president Recep Tayyip Erdogan).
The non-investigation of the so-called “suicide” and the silence of the representative and the officials add to the already dark events surrounding the death of Nadira Kadirova, the health care worker hired to take care of Şirin Ünal’s sick wife. Nadira Kadirova had come to Turkey from Uzbekistan to study medicine but was working to support herself.
The event came to life with a small news, barely covered by the main stream media very closely aligned with the Turkish government for huge financial gains and questionable “ads” given by the government that keeps the “aligned media” alive. The news mentioned in passing that the health care worker in the AKP representative’s home had committed suicide. However, immediately questions were raised by the independent media to the validity of this news.
The victim had called her friends the previous night of her death and had said sobbing, “If I revealed the truth, the world would turn over,” as reported by her brother. It was also implied that the National Assembly representative had made either sexual advances to her or had sexually assaulted her.
While people and media not aligned with the government waited for autopsy reports, they suddenly found out that the body had been shipped back to Uzbekistan, her native country, which Turkey has close and friendly ties with.
The initial report had stated that the victim had shot herself in the heart to end her own life. However, as the word got around, there were accusations that there were TWO bullets in or around her heart area. The gun belonged to Şirin Ünal, the AKP representative but was found without a magazine. Later it was reported again that the particular weapon, Beretta, had had a feature that would prevent its firing without the magazine as a protective measure for accidental usage in the hands of children. The magazine was found elsewhere in the home of the representative.
As the Turkish government banned all news coverage of the event the speculations spread like wild fire. Many believed the representative, an ex-army officer himself, would step in to answer the questions. However, no such confrontation occurred as this suspicious character disappeared from the light of scrutiny. He has not uttered a single word since the incident. Turkish security officials likewise are keeping their silence about the event.
The AKP representative himself is a very suspicious person with ties to both the deep state in Turkey and the government in shady deals. In the infamous July 15 so-called and suspicious coup attempt against the AKP government in 2016, this representative had a very active role. Although he was only a retired army general, hours before the army’s coup attempt he was given access to the Chief of Staff and held hours long meeting with him. He also visited the head of Turkish intelligence agency MIT during the coup attempt although having no official title or position.
While waiting for the autopsy report, questions on the investigation were also raised. Independent media demanded to see if any investigation was done on the gun powder residue on the hands of Nadira Kadirova, the alleged suicide victim since the claim was that she shot herself in the heart. Other questions followed whether the same test had been done on the other occupants in the home that night. Or even, who was at that home that evening. None of these questions have been answered.
The events took a more suspicious turn when the independent media found out that the corpse had been shipped hastily to Uzbekistan, victims native country, with no time to complete the investigation or an autopsy. But the cloud just got thicker when news started spreading that Uzbek officials had threatened the victim’s family saying, “Either you all shut up and not say a single word to anyone or we will not give the corpse to you.” It is interesting that the family has not, as expected, said a single word about the death of their daughter in Turkey. Why a Turkish security officer escorted the corpse to Uzbekistan is also a mystery. The reports spread that the phones of the family had been shut down and two Uzbek police officers were on constant guard at their door. The brother who had initially revealed the phone call the victim had made to a friend where she had complained about the abuse and the enormity of the events she expected if she exposed the truth has also fell silent.
The initial Uzbek unofficial reports spread that they could not perform autopsy either because the corpse had been stitched up all the way from under her chin down through her torso in Turkey and her internal organs had been removed.
Nadira Kadirova had kept a diary but for the last few days prior to her death either there were no entries or they had been removed.
When the Washington Post journalist Adnan Khashoggi was murdered by the Saudi officials in the Saudi embassy in Turkey, the president Erdogan had promised a thorough investigation and expressed his concerns to keep pressure on the Saudis. Yet nothing came out of the promises to delve to the bottom of the issue and expose the perpetrator. However, the silence is deafening when it is a single, alone and foreign worker who dies at the home of the shady high ranking ruling party official in Turkey. In stark contrast Turkey imposes a legal “media coverage and news ban” on the event.
Investigative journalists revealed today that Nadira Kadirova was an undocumented worker secretly hired by Şirin Ünsal and none of her social security premiums or taxes had been paid by her employer, the representative under suspicion.
