Trade unions took to the streets against a reform package proposed by the government. Trade unions have also shown support for the opposition which is striving to bring the government down.
More than 1000 workers participated in the demonstration where heavy criticism was leveled against the Fuat Sinyora government.
The speakers voiced the opposition to the government’s economical strategy which they portrayed as anti people. They also explained that when these strategies fail, the working class would have to shoulder the consequences.
The workers organized under pro-government unions did not participate in the demonstration.
