The bosses at the Evita Textile plant started laying off workers after learning about the union drive of Tekstil Sen. The Textile Workers Union. The union officials and workers staged a press release in front of the plant to protest the illegal action of the owners.
All pro-labor organizations and democratic institutions were called to support the workers’ actions in the press release.
