The Joint Chamber of Engineers and Architects have announced that Turkey is ranking third in the world in occupational accidents.
In the announcement, the president of the Chambers said 5,000 people lost their lives in work related accidents around the world every year.
Turkey ranks third in the world in work related accidents, but is the first in Europe. Mehmet Soğancı, the president of the joint Chambers, demanded that businesses be required to have a qualified engineer at sites where the risk of accidents are high.
