In the Karaelmas coal mines near Göynük a collapse claimed the life of a worker, Hasan Hüseyin Uğraş (28). He was working 180 feet below surface at the time of the accident. Although he was rescued by his fellow co-workers, Hasan Hüseyin Uğraş later died from the injuries he received.
Adapazarı
Two workers fell into the smokestack when the rope carrying the platform they were working on broke.
One worker was reported as killed while the other worker remains in critical condition. The smokestack they fell into was more than 100 feet tall.
