The members of the Peoples Houses organization gathered at Saimekadın to protest the barbaric Israeli attacks against Palestine and Lebanon on Sunday, July 30.
The crowd chanted, “Hope, Heart, Revolt! Thousand Greetings to Palestine!”, “Down with the US Imperialism!” as they started the march which stopped at the central crossroads of the town. There the demonstrators closed the streets to traffic as more people gathered and supported the rally.
At the crossroads, while the traffic was stopped, the members of the Peoples Houses read a press statement. The organization, in their press release, said Israel had added one more crime to its long list of war and humanitarian crimes with the help and support of the USA imperialists.
The press release also included the condemnation of the Turkish JDP government which had signed “Common Vision Declaration” with Israel which ties Turkey to the massacres Israel was committing: “The government signs the ‘Common Vision Agreement’ with Israel, but in front of the media they are shedding fake, crocodile tears for the peoples of the Middle East.”
The release ended with the words, “As the members of peoples Houses, we are shouting once again that we are against imperialism and we are on the side of the people of the Middle East.”
The marchers, who were greeted and supported by the people on the street walked back to the organization building to end the demonstration.
