The workers laid off by the contracting cleaning firm of the central municipality of Adana at Seyhan are demonstrating for the last three months to protest the layoffs and to get their voices heard.
20 workers gathered at the central Inonu Park in Adana and marched to the Seyhan Municipality building chanting slogans and carrying placards. Holding a press release at the plant, the workers demanded their jobs back and pledged to continue their actions they have been staging for the last 73 days. They also stated that after being fired, the cleaning services of the city had been impaired.
