Syrian Journalists Union on Wednesday signed 3 cooperation agreements with Libyan and Iraqi Journalists Associations as well as Somali Journalists Syndicate.
The agreements provide for stance coordination between the Syrian Journalists Union and each of the Arab associations in meetings, international and Arab press conferences to meet the journalists’ aspirations in those countries, exchange expertise as well as inspecting visits.
They also stipulate for exchanging studies, articles, press investigating reports, encouraging and boosting bilateral cooperation among media institutions in addition to boosting the role of media men to serve the Arab press message and defend the Arab just causes.
The agreements come as one of many fruits of the first meeting of International and Foreign Committee at the Arab Journalists Union held in Damascus on Monday and Tuesday in solidarity with Syria to face foreign pressures.
Chairman of Syrian Journalists Union Saber Falhout who signed the agreements for the Syrian side, exchanged cordial speeches with representatives of the Arab journalists syndicates stressing the importance of boosting Arab unity and solidarity.
