Standard and Poor’s analyst in charge of Turkey, Farouk Soussa said, if the social security proposal passes in the Parliament, it will be the most important factor to raise the credibility of Turkey.
Farouk Soussa called attention to the importance of passing such measures like the social security reform above all. He said the social security system has been creating an important problem in the public finance deficit. He said this could not be sustained in the medium or long range. Another factor, Farouk Soussa mentioned that would affect the credibility was the current deficit in the budget that is reaching 6% of the GNP. He added that the quality of Turkey’s positive credibility was also improving.
