Workers of the contractor Beypınarlar company working at the BEDAŞ Sefaköy plant staged a demonstration to protest the firing of fellow workers and to demand a raise to their wages.
The workers, all members of the Enerji-Sen (Energy Workers union) demanded to receive at least the minimum wage. Ahmet Evbaşı, who read the press release during the demonstration, said both the contracting company and the employer BEDAŞ Sefaköy were breaking the law by not paying the minimum wages required by law.
The workers gave their demands to the employer BEDAŞ Sefaköy.
