It was revealed that 450 hospitals that cannot collect its dues from the social security institutions cannot even pay for basic expenses and foreclosures are on the way.
Hospitals are awaiting foreclosure orders to arrive since they do not have funds left for the revolving capital, contract workers’ wages, heating, rent, taxes and medical equipment.
While the government refuses to pay for the past services provided by these hospitals, the Treasury is charging the hospitals 30% interest on their unpaid taxes.
The number of hospitals awaiting foreclosure are:
Istanbul, 25; Ankara, 16; Izmir, 15, Bursa, 14, Konya, 10, Sakarya, 9, Balikesir, 9; Antalya, 8; Trabzon, 7; Samsun, 6; Adana, 5; Mersin, 5 and Adana ,4.
