Mr. Keskin was working as an electrician for the subcontractor Prizma Gemi operating at the shipyards. After this event, other workers employed by the subcontractor stopped work.
Last week in another incident a worker was killed and four other was injured at the same Tuzla shipyards. Workers protesting the conditions that cause these “accidents” had formed a human chain and more than 2500 workers had closed the roads to traffic to call attention to the problem.
